Complementary Therapies
The name ‘Complementary Therapies’ is used to describe a very
wide range of treatments that are usually about helping people to be
healthier in general. They can be used to help deal with the effects of
stress and to encourage a sense of well-being as part of an‘integrated’ approach to healthcare. They are designed to add to
rather than replace any existing medical treatment.
Therapies on offer include;
• Acupuncture
• Aromatherapy
• Massage
• Homeopathy
• Shiatsu.
At Positive Place we offer an opportunity to see a volunteer therapist.
Therapy sessions are run during Peer Support Group Sessions and
are for people who regularly attend the groups. Ask the Peer Support
Workers for more information.
