Welcome
At The Positive Place we have a
rich tradition of offering a friendly welcome and high quality standard of support to all people in South
London who are affected by HIV/
AIDS. We do this through a variety
of activities including;
• Peer support groups
• Emotional Support
• Advice surgeries
• Mentoring
• Volunteering
Our services are provided in a
relaxing confidential and safe
environment. We believe this to be
vital as people take back control of
their lives.
We see our role as helping people to develop their full potential. We do this, firstly through being welcoming at all times, then to support and enable people to live up to their full potential.
What We Offer
• A warm and friendly welcome from staff and volunteers
• A safe and confidential environment at all venues
• Opportunities to develop new life skills
• Access to all appropriate services
How the organisation works
The Positive Place is a membership organisation. Membership is separate from being a Service User. Members are people who support the aims and values of the organisation and can be both Service Users and/or supporters. The Positive Place is governed by a voluntary Board of Trustees, who are elected by PP members at annual general meetings. They have a legal responsibility for the organisation. The Project Coordinator manages day to day functions and strategic direction. We are always keen to recruit Trustee’s, call the office for more information.
